Delivering sustainable procurement and innovation

EcoProcura 2012 was a success! Learn about all the details with the Live Updates and keep sharing your ideas and questions on twitter using #EcoProcura. EcoProcura 2012 was the eighth edition of a conference series and took place on 19-21 September 2012 in Malmö, Sweden.

The EcoProcura conference series is the only European-wide forum to promote exchange and dialogue amongst diverse purchasers on strategies and the latest policies and practical solutions on sustainable public procurement (SPP) and public procurement of innovation (PPI). Relevant purchasers come from all levels of government and include suppliers, policy-makers, the European Commission and European Parliament.

With legislation in the pipeline and numerous policies at the European and national level, understanding the changes and ensuring the correct implementation of SPP and PPI can be a challenge. The conference focused on what the proposed and latest legislation, strategies, guidance and practical solutions mean to public authorities implementing SPP and procuring innovation (PPI).

Participants were able to exchange with speakers and learn about the latest good practice, research, guidance and tools designed to improve practices.
